DOI / ISBN Policy – IG Editions

Purpose

This policy defines the principles for assigning DOI and ISBN identifiers for IG Editions publications.

DOI – Digital Object Identifier

A DOI may be assigned in particular to:

  • scientific journals
  • academic articles
  • institutional reports
  • referenced digital publications

The DOI guarantees permanent identification of the document in the digital academic space.

Assignment of a DOI implies:

  • a stabilized version of the document
  • compliant metadata
  • permanent archiving
  • ensured accessibility

ISBN – International Standard Book Number

An ISBN is assigned to:

  • books
  • essays
  • collective works
  • printed or digital publications similar to books

The ISBN identifies the edition, format, and publisher of the work.

Deposit and metadata

IG Editions applies rigorous editorial principles, guaranteeing intellectual rigor, academic independence, and methodological coherence of its publications.

Archiving and Compliance

DOI and ISBN identifiers are associated with institutional archiving guaranteeing access and preservation of publications over time.
