Editorial Charter – IG Editions
Preamble
IG Editions is the editorial body of the Govonos Institute. Its vocation is to publish, disseminate, and archive intellectual, academic, and institutional works in the fields of tangible governance, applied ethics, humanities and social sciences, as well as related disciplines.
This charter defines the principles, requirements, and responsibilities that govern the editorial activity of IG Editions. It guarantees intellectual integrity, academic independence, and doctrinal coherence of publications.
Article 1 – Purpose and Mission
The mission of IG Editions is to make accessible evidence-based works, rooted in the Humanities, and oriented toward elucidating the principles that precede all governance.
Publications pursue an objective of knowledge transmission, conceptual clarification, and contribution to academic and institutional debate, without autonomous commercial purpose.
Article 2 – Scientific and Intellectual Scope
IG Editions publishes content primarily relating to:
- tangible governance
- applied ethics
- humanities and social sciences
- political and moral philosophy
- related disciplines allowing evaluation of the founding conditions of governance
Publications may take the form of books, essays, journals, reports, founding texts, or collections.
Article 3 – Independence and Integrity
Editorial decisions are made in complete independence. No political, institutional, or commercial influence may alter the selection, validation, or publication of content.
Any real or potential conflict of interest must be declared and may result in refusal or suspension of a publication.
Article 4 – Editorial Process
Every publication undergoes:
- selection based on intellectual and methodological criteria
- evaluation of coherence and quality
- editorial validation by the Institute or a designated committee
Depending on the nature of the work, IG Editions may use external reviewers, experts, or academics.
Article 5 – Publication Typologies
IG Editions publishes:
- works by fellows and researchers associated with the Institute
- external contributions validated by the Institute
- collective works coordinated by the Institute
Authors retain their intellectual responsibility. Texts may be accompanied by author notices and an institutional contextualization framework.
Article 6 – Publication Policy
Publications may be disseminated:
- in digital format
- in printed format
- via academic platforms
- via institutional channels of the Govonos Institute
Publications are dated, referenced, and identified according to academic standards (DOI, ISBN, ISSN if applicable).
Article 7 – Archiving and Access
IG Editions ensures permanent archiving of publications. Access conditions may vary according to format and editorial strategy, but all publications remain traceable and preserved.
Article 8 – Editorial Responsibility
Editorial responsibility lies with the Govonos Institute. Editorial direction is exercised by the body designated by the Institute, under supervision of the Academic Council.
Article 9 – Evolution of the Charter
This charter may be adapted to account for the evolution of editorial and academic practices, without questioning its fundamental principles.
