Gérard Hirigoyen

Professor Gérard Hirigoyen is Emeritus Professor at the University of Bordeaux, former President of the University of Montesquieu Bordeaux IV, and former President of the French National Council of Universities (CNU) in Management Sciences. Internationally recognized for his expertise in corporate governance, behavioural finance, and family businesses, he is the author of numerous landmark books and scholarly publications and has supervised more than sixty doctoral dissertations. He also serves as President of the CREFE (Centre for Research on Family and Entrepreneurial Businesses). A Knight of the French Légion d'honneur, Commander of the Ordre des Palmes académiques, member of the Real Academia de Doctores de Barcelona, and recipient of several honorary doctorates (doctorates honoris causa), he serves as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Govonos Institute.
